Cuba between yesterday and today

The departure of Fidel Castro is a great loss for the all national revolutionary, social democratic, and international parties in the world.

A view on Cuba, the Latin and Central Americas, which were the background garden yesterday, for the US imperialism according to the principle of the North American president Monroe since the nineteenth century", as well as the revolutions, the national and democratic movements for liberation and social justice in the world, in Africa, Asia, and in the countries of the capitalist world.

The Cuban revolution achievements that led by its leader Castro, are touchable and visible in the elimination of the ignorance and illiteracy, the hunger, and free education and health services , which is the best one in the world by "the confession and the statistics of the United Nations".

In the basic human rights and the democratic social justice the education, health, free housing for all citizens without discrimination of color, race (ethnicity) and between men and women considered essential.

"In this Cuba the people and the state" stands against the capitalist democracies that limit the human rights in the freedom of opinion and freedom of expression, "which means the political bourgeois right-wing limits", that ignore the human and social rights, which are highlighted in the class economic and social crises in the major capitalist industrial countries in the United States and Western Europe, through the strikes and the major social protests, the last example, was the Obama administration's struggle for the application of the" health Insurance Law for the poor of the United States, and the declaration of Trump in his election campaign after his winning to cancel the mentioned health insurance law".

According to the reports of the Education and Health Fund of the United Nations: the percentage of illiteracy in Cuba now is "zero", specifically 0.02 percent, compared to 84% in 1959, the year of the triumph of the revolution and the fall of the Batista dictatorship.

The revolution which led by Castro established 45 universities and research institutes, and it used 15% of the GDP for the establishment of a free governmental health system, and despite the US blockade and the dictatorships in South America for more than four decades of Cuba, the rate of death of young children in Cuba is the least in the world, and the education from the kindergarten to the university is completely free.

The democratic social justice in Cuba; is the most prominent secrets of the steadfastness of the Cuban Revolution, and the breaking of the siege until the beginning of the twenty-first century and the collapse of the South and Central America dictatorships, and the left and progressive major shifts in most of the South American countries.

The protests of European and American peoples impose on the rich capitalist democratic regimes the application of the social and economic human rights, as in Cuba and several countries with democratic political pluralism, and social justice in South America, rather than the social protest disintegration, and the political and social quakes that call for the exit of the European Union as Britain, and the worsening of the influence and the role of the racist extremist right in Europe and in the United States of America.

Cuba the revolution and the state , which built a state and a society of social justice, and it has not built the welfare state, yet, in light of fifty years of American imperialist blockade and the affiliated right-wing dictatorships in South and Central Americas.

Now the blockade breakage and the collapse of the surrounding dictatorships, in Cuba open plans and attempts of development from a state of the social justice to a welfare state, after it lost 1.2 trillion dollars because of the siege of the arrogant northern neighbor over more than fifty years since the failure of the invasion and the battle of the Bay of Pigs in 1962 on the beaches of Cuba coming from Florida with an American weapon and financing, which is the richest and the most powerful in the world.

Fidel fought the battle with his weapon, fought on the side of the people and the army of the revolution, the invasive forces were defeated, and the aggressive neighbor announced the blockade on Cuba. Fidel declared the socialist option to steadfast and to build the social justice with a new kind of socialist experience.

Cuba transformed to a lighthouse for South America, the Third World and for the oppressed in the rich capitalist countries.

The Cuban revolution which led by Fidel was the symbol of the intellectual, political and moral ideals, and a motivation for the international, democratic and socialist liberation and revolution movements, and the great internationalist solidarity with the poor oppressed classes.

Half a million internationalist Cubans struggled in the third world on the fighting fronts to face the imperialism, the Israeli expansionist Zionism and the dictatorial regimes, from Angola, Namibia, Ethiopia and South Africa to the Golan, Algeria and Yemen ...

Thousands of Arab and Palestinian students learned in Cuba's universities. They built many Medicine Colleges in Aden and other Arab countries, up till now, 30 thousand of Cuban doctors are in the third world. Cuba the revolution, the people and the party, the state and the university, led by Fidel, formed the shelter for the tormented in the Earth, especially in Latin America, Central America, and Africa.

In my book "The Revolutionary Left - criticism and expectations" issued in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, in 2012, and which was also published in Cuba and Latin American countries, I wrote and compared between what happened in Cuba, South America, and between what is happening in the Arab countries and the Palestinian revolution.

Why in Cuba the victory the breakage of the siege, moving forward, while in the Palestinian revolution we have crises, splits and setbacks? Also in our Arab countries, we have historical retardation, defeats, civil wars, sieges and emptying the new Arab revolutions and uprisings from their major pillars, like "bread, freedom, civil state, social justice, and human dignity" this is what was raised by the revolutions in the fields from Tunisia and Morocco to Egypt's Tahreer Square, to Yemen, Libya.

Accordingly, the book about "Cuba and the South America", in Spanish, and "The Arab revolutions that have not been completed yet ...", in Arabic.

With Fidel since the first visit and dialogue between us, in December / January 1972, and the long discussion with Raul Castro in November 29th 2014, and the dialogue is continuous.

Fidel is gone, but the Revolutionary Ideas do not die.

Farewell my friend, the revolutionaries do not die
