The War Against The Palestinian Existence

Netanyahu's presence alongside Trump in declaring the political part of the "deal", and what came in its texts, reaffirm that the Israeli project has become a compass of US foreign policy in the Middle East, and what came in the speech of the Israeli Prime Minister was like an explanation of the knowledgeable about the plan’s details from the participant’s website in drafting its texts line by line.

Perhaps from this angle, it was natural that the "economic-peace plan” which previously proposed by Netanyahu, and the "regional solution" to the conflict, which he prefers over bilateral negotiations, would be the basis for this deal. In doing so, the Trump administration, by itself, canceled the role of the mediator in the settlement, which the previous American administrations tried to persuade many of it about a quarter of a century.

With this, we set before a very dangerous precedent in American policy, represented in Washington taking a direct and practical role in implementing the rest of the Zionist project in Palestine and the region.

Although many saw that this deal was definitely presented with ''Oslo'' texts and implementation mechanisms, it adopted many of the principles and mechanisms of implementation adopted by Tel Aviv in dealing with the mentioned agreement. Among them is the principle of "less land ... more residents", which Tel Aviv implement it in the "pulses" of handing over areas of the West Bank to the state of the PA in the 1990s. It is noted that this principle constitutes the pivotal regulator in dividing the West Bank and drawing the future "Palestinian entity" according to the "deal", along with the foundations and rules that sanctify the Israeli security considerations.

The statements made by Trump and Netanyahu in announcing the "deal" and what is mentioned in its written texts constitute an extension of the positions and hostile measures announced and taken by the "new" American administration against the rights of the Palestinian people. The dangerous thing is that the Israeli and American partners want at this stage to start practical steps that impose a "Trump-Netanyahu deal", as a reality, despite those who oppose it. Washington has gathered what it can from the parties concerned and interested in political settlement in the Middle East, at the ceremony announcing the deal to say that this deal has enough official regional and international support to implement it and delineate its results, even if it was "agreed on" and it was presented in isolation from the authority of the United Nations and its resolutions, which the international consensus did not help in finding its way of implementation.

It is noticeable that nothing in the texts of the deal calls for negotiation, because it basically exceeded the principles, which are usually replete with political settlement initiatives, and delineated the results directly. It defined the future of Jerusalem, the Palestinian refugees, and the settlement in favor of seeing the occupation, and drew the boundaries of the future Palestinian entity as desired by the expansionist policy and the Israeli security considerations. However, as long as it won the approval of Israel, the stronger party in the conflict, it is applicable, according to the opinion of its authors. Hence, the "Greater Israel" state has become a slogan that unites the efforts of both the Netanyahu government and the Trump administration to implement it.

In doing so, the Trump administration is undertaking a grand and foolish adventure that places the region on the crater of another volcano in addition to the bloody conflicts that this region is witnessing. It is natural for the situation to explode in light of attempts to impose the facts of a solution that write off the national rights of the Palestinian people, perpetuates the occupation of their land, the displacement of millions of Palestinian refugees, robs their right to return to their homes and properties, and at the same time revokes the international Agency that was established to relief them until their return. Perhaps the expectation of this prospect led many important international parties to warn of the results of attempts to impose the implementation of the "deal" and it warned of the need to reach a solution acceptable to both parties to the conflict.

It is clear that both Netanyahu and Trump are seeking, through the timing of the announcement of the deal at this time, to be blind to their political and legal responsibility, which they face because of abuse of PA, while the US presidential elections are about ten months away, Netanyahu cannot be separated from the Knesset elections for more than one month.

It is natural for each of them to see the timing of the announcement of the deal as an important factor in increasing its chances in the elections. It is not excluded that the Trump administration will pressure for the formation of a "unity government" in Israel led by Netanyahu, to follow the chapters of the implementation of the deal, in addition to intensifying the pressures on the concerned parties to accelerate this process with the approach of the electoral eligibility in the United States. Trump had previously bid for the US administrations, which preceded him, blaming them for the failure to impose a political settlement to the Middle East conflict.

Both Tel Aviv and Washington want to put everyone before a single solution to the conflict through the disastrous deal that they announced. At the same time, the Palestinian people and their political and social forces announced their absolute rejection of the "Trump-Netanyahu deal", which is the main target with its titles that seek to liquidate their cause and rights. This puts the Palestinian case, with all its components, before major entitlements, which are on the table before the announcement of the deal, and its necessity increases after its announcement. The basis remains in meeting these entitlements, to go down to the requirements of the national interest that are supposed to be above all regional and partisan considerations, and then move to the practical policies in two integrated directions at the same time: immediate action to implement the decisions of the national consensus regarding ending the division and restoring the unity, and implementing the decisions of the National and Central Councils regarding the relationship with the occupation to start a battle to face the dangers of a deal in the field and politics. Basically there is nothing that can be expected from Washington except the disasters, and this is not limited to the disastrous deal, but rather since the tendency towards a political settlement that is not balanced at the expense of the Palestinian national liberation project.

It is necessary to point out, by experience, that this battle must be managed within a unified national operations room that goes beyond the unhealthy reality of our national institutions, and according to a program that adopts a clear strategy based on the uprising and resistance, and this requires, in confrontation and restoration the unity, an active leadership role from the PLO activation committee, the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people in all of its whereabouts.
