Tayseer Khaled, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine wrote in his blog on the social networking sites (Facebook and Twitter) saying:
"The News of this morning is unpleasant for those who bet on the so-called the French initiative and the Paris conference for Peace. the French president Francois Hollande, expressed in an interview aired by public Hebrew radio about his belief, that the opportunity has faded to hold the international peace conference in Paris next month, and that the current administration in Washington will not participate at the conference under the current circumstances in the light of the presidential election results in the United States.
The President Hollande is pessimistic about the international efforts to push the peace process forward between Israel and the Palestinians, especially if the US elected President Donald Trump implemented what he said during his election campaign. The President Hollande ignored the Benjamin Netanyahu's government rejection for the initiative and blamed the past US administration and the new US administration expecting it to be more biased to Israel.
Tayseer Khaled concluded his blog saying, "the supporters of the French initiative and the Paris Peace Conference have invested a lot in the promotion of the initiative and the conference and after the Netanyahu refusing to participate in the conference, and the abstention of the US administration to attend, they will be unemployed from now until further notice."
