The Minister of Social Affairs, Majida al-Masri called the UNICIF and all the international organizations and institutions working in the field of childhood to immediately intervene to put and end to the abuses practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities and the herds of settlers against the children of our people. She also called for ensuring the rights guaranteed by the international conventions, the laws of child and the human rights.
Commenting on the Ofar court about its demand of expelling 8 young minors 30 km away from their houses on the pretext that they are dangerous to the security of the settlers in that area, and commenting on the expulsion of Elias al-Awar, 16 years old, from Salwan, South of al-Aqsa to the neighbourhood of Mount Scopus southeast of the holy city and imposing a fine of 5000 Shekels in addition to the house arrest, Masri called all the international organizations to immediately play their real role in defending the rights of the Palestinian children and protecting them from the abuses of the occupation. She also called for stopping the implementation of such unfair decisions against our Palestinian children.
Al-Masri pointed out that such a decision is a flagrant violation of the international law, and the international organizations should hold their real responsibility in protecting the Palestinian children and disclosing the crimes of the Israeli occupation perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation Army and by the settlers.
"The Israeli Occupation Forces are continuing their repressive and criminal military operations against all our people, including the little children and minors, in addition to depriving our children from the simplest rights guaranteed by the international norms and laws" Al-Masri added.
Al-Masri made it clear that such repressive and abusive decisions by the occupation leave passive psychological effects and increase the suffering day by day.
