DFLP calls on the PA and its government to expose public opinion to how extent of the adherence of ministers, and persons of equivalent status, to return the money illegally seized

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), asked an open question to the Palestinian Authority and its government about the fate of the illegal increases and "incentives" that were paid to the ministers and persons of equivalent status illegally, which has been issued a decision by the President of the PA in this regard, that obliges the concerned ministers, and persons of equivalent status beneficiaries of this illegal move, in order to give back what they took illegally from the official treasury, which is part of corrupt practices.

The Front added: The Minister of Finance in the current government, Shukri Bishara, has already announced his commitment to the decision and personally returned more than 80 thousand dollars of graft funds, but the public opinion does not know so far whether the other concerned ministers, and persons of equivalent status, have given back to the treasury the illicit money they earned.

The Front said that the issue of graft funds will remain on the agenda of public opinion, and a debate everywhere, especially in light of the financial crisis in the PA, that it’s on the expense of citizens, which requires that the PA and its government to be full of courage, and commitment to transparency and sincerity, expose the truth to citizens, and reporting to the public opinion the names of the ministers who committed themselves to the decision to return the illegal money, revealing the names of those who violated the decision, and explaining to the public the reasons for these violations, what are the guarantees of non-recurrence and what actions are taken against those who violated the decision of the President.
