DFLP condemns Honduras' decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move its embassy there

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) condemned the decision of the Honduran State to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move its embassy there, in the context of harmony with US-Israeli policies against our Palestinian people, and its national cause and rights.

The DFLP said that Honduras' decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem is a blatant support for the Trump-Netanyahu deal to liquidate the Palestinian national cause and rights and a blatant aggression against the national interests of our people.

The Front called upon the Arab States to abide by the decisions of the Arab summits by pressing Honduras to reconsider its decision, or in return to sever relations with it, including economic relations, until it reverses its decision and abide by the Charter of the United Nations and the resolutions of international legitimacy, especially UN Security Council Resolution 2334, and the UN General Assembly Resolution 67/19, which recognizes the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital on the borders before 1967, and resolving the issue of Palestinian refugees under Resolution 194, which guarantees them the right of return to their homes and property from which they have been displaced since 1948.
