Press release about transfer of prisoner Samer Al-Issawi to hospital

With utmost concern, we have received the news of the fact that the hero of the longest hunger strike in history, prisoner leader Samer Al-Issawi, has been transferred to an unknown hospital due to a critical deterioration of his health.

The European Alliance in Defense of Palestinian Detainees expresses its deep concern for the health of Samer Al-Issawi and blames the authorities of Israeli occupation of endangering the lives of all the prisoners on hunger strike by refusing to respond to their just demands.

Furthermore, calls on international institutions, human rights organizations and on the international community to exercise quick and direct pressures on the authorities of Israeli occupation for them to totally cease their violations of the norms and conventions of international law and to comply with international agreements that guarantee the rights of prisoners and preserve their dignity inside the jails of the State of occupation.

All our support for the Strike of Freedom and Dignity!

Freedom for the heroes who are prisoners in the jails of Israeli occupation!
